News More high-profile accolades for The Man Who Cycled the World!

I’m delighted to report that Mark Beaumont last night won the Sport Award in the Glenfiddich Spirit of Scotland Awards, celebrating great Scottish achievement on the world stage. Mark beat off competition from Sir Alex Ferguson, Andy Murray and Chris Hoy to win the sport award (although Hoy was named ‘Top Scot’ – see story below, along with a clip of Mark aired on Scottish TV in the run-up to the awards).

Tune into STV on Sunday evening to catch the whole ceremony and don’t forget Mark’s book The Man Who Cycled the World is published on the 21st May 2009!
