Feature Terry Pratchett Guest Edits SFX!

Posted by Lynsey on May 25, 2010 at 2:38 pm

There are just a few days left to head down to your local newsagents and pick up a copy of SFX Magazine issue 196. ‘And why should we do that?’ I hear you cry, well because it’s guest edited by Sir Terry Pratchett that’s why!

Sir Pratchett headed to Bath to the SFX offices where he camped down, bacon sandwich in hand, to work at the hard graft of what should and more importantly shouldn’t, be included in this month’s issue.

It’s a Discworld extravaganza, make sure you pick up your copy today!

News Jo Carnegie’s alternative election campaign

Posted by Elizabeth on May 7, 2010 at 4:25 pm

bonk-5.jpg

Yesterday, Jo Carnegie, author of Wild Things, took to the streets to promote her MANifesto and to inject a bit of merriment into the business of voting with her very own ‘Vote Bonk’ campaign.  Unsuspecting tourists and members of the public were showered (willingly, in most cases!) in double-F sized florescent pink bras and slogans such as ‘VOTE BONK’ and ‘ERECTIONS NOT ELECTIONS’

Not to be put-off by being removed from Trafalgar by some very straight-laced wardens, bonkbuster author Jo Carnegie campaigned all afternoon and left the public in no doubt that we need to vote for a ‘well hung parliament.’

For more information on Jo’s MANifesto and Wild Things, visit Jo’s website: http://www.churchminster.co.uk/ and remember, VOTE BONK!
